Fabrik is a celebration of the feminine; a collection of clothes, linen and toys with a distinct European aesthetic. After graduating with a degree in fashion and textiles, Sarah Hardie worked alongside respected Australian designer, Lee Matthews. It was here that her passion for hand-embroidery, vintage fabric and muted tones was nurtured. Seven years later it was the birth of her daughter, Jemima, that inspired Fabrik – a creative project testament to the women in Sarah’s life. Fabrik is a seamless blend of classic and contemporary, floral and tie-dye, cotton and bamboo – it’s clothing with a conscience.

Sarah shares a little more with us:

What is your favourite way to spend time with the kids?

On Saturday nights we love to make a ‘cinema’. We take turns to choose a movie and snuggle up with popcorn.

Who inspires you?

Catherine Hamlin. Between 1924 and 2014 Dr Hamlin has achieved more than most, co-founding the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital with her husband Reg and spending more than half a century living in Ethiopia, serving some of the most marginalised women in the world.

What is your go to remedy for a tantrum?

Still working on this one but I do find ‘distraction’ and direct eye contact at their level sometimes works!
