We are so excited to share with you today the amazing work of our Melbourne vendor, Louise Treacy Photography.

Louise Treacy, who has over 7 years experience, specialises in the fine art portraiture of newborns and babies with a pure and timeless style.

A mother of three herself, Louise uses limited props and natural light to create classic photographs that will be cherished by parents and families for years.

“My boys remind me every day how important it is to capture them as they are as time passes by so quickly. Looking back at the images I have created brings a smile to my face and a warm feeling to my heart,” Louise says.

“Capturing newborn babies from their sweet little faces to their tiny fingers and toes are one of my favourite subjects to photograph,” says Louise.

Beautiful sleepy images of your newborn, like the ones here, are best captured when your little one is still under the age of 3 weeks. Most newbown sessions last around 2-3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding and settling.

“Sessions are never rushed and I will be guided by your baby – some babies are very sleepy while others are more alert and may take longer to settle,” says Louise.

Make sure to book your newborn session before your little one arrives, the best time is just after your 20 week scan to ensure a guaranteed date in Louise’s busy schedule!

Baby, child and family
“Babies between the ages of 4-12 months are one of my favourite little subjects to capture. They are generally happy, interactive and full of smiles – such a gorgeous age and well worth capturing,” says Louise.

In her neutral styled studio, with white walls and beautiful linen chairs, Louise has created the perfect oasis to ensure timeless family photos. You can even combine both a studio session and an outdoors one – perfect for little ones who have found their feet!

Sessions usually last between 1-2 hours and are always lots of fun for baby, child and family!

“Being pregnant is such a beautiful and special time in your life and what better way to remember this time than to capture it in images,” says Louise.

A calming and enjoyable experience, Louise takes time to ensure you and your partner feel relaxed during your maternity session. Sessions usually last around 1 hour and you are welcome to book a combined maternity and newborn session to capture all those special moments.

Maternity sessions are best scheduled when you are between 34-38 weeks pregnant. Be sure to book well in advance to avoid missing out!
