After living in Paris for 2 years and admiring how the French dressed their children, Kelly Noble wanted to bring a bit of that French flair to Sydney kids.

Paddo Kids was created in 2009 to offer a perfect blend of French style, viewed through an Australian eye with beautiful, stylish fabrics in a soft, muted colour palette, which are the cornerstone of the brand. Think dusty pinks, soft stone, crushed violet, all spiced up with seasonal bursts of aqua, coral or citron. Using mainly cotton fabric, Paddo Kids relies on gorgeous designs to make the pieces unique.

“Our aim is to dress kids from ages 1 to 10 in great looking clothes that are comfortable and easy to wear. Most of our dresses are A-line shape and our skirts, jeans and pants often have elastic waists for maximum comfort and ease. Kids love being active and we want Paddo Kids clothes to let them be just that.”

Owner Kelly shares more below:

What is your favourite way to spend time with the kids?

I love summer days when we go for a morning snorkel followed by a well deserved lunch, maybe yum cha, fish’n’chips or sushi.

What’s for breakfast?

A delicious beetroot, carrot and apple juice followed by a bowl of muesli smothered in passionfruit yoghurt and finished off with a greatly anticipated double espresso to get me going.

What’s your favourite thing to bake?

To be honest, I’m not the best baker but my one fail-proof recipe is Elizabeth David’s flourless chocolate cake. In a word, divine.

What’s your favourite bedtime story?

My girls’ favourite book was Julia Donaldson’s The Snail and the Whale. We all loved the rhyming text, great illustrations and the wonderful friendship between these two unlikely creatures.

What is your go to remedy for a tantrum?

I try and get them to slow everything down by taking 10 deep breaths and after that, shaking the frustration out through their arms followed by their legs. It doesn’t always work but worth a go!

See more of the collection on the Paddo Kids website or come and visit them, and all our other fabulous vendors, in person today and tomorrow at the One Fine Baby fair at Australia Technology Park, Sydney between 10am – 4pm.
