What is your favourite way to spend time with the kids?

My baby boy is 8 months and currently finding everything delightfully

funny. My favourite time with him is right after a breast feed when he wants to cuddle and hug and gurgle and giggle with happiness. I am cherishing these moments as I know before too long he will be up on his feet and raring to get away from me!

Who inspires you?

I have a fantastic group of friends around me who are all coming into motherhood from different angles. We have grown up together, some of us having been friends since kindy. We catch up at least once a week with the excuse that the babies and kids need to socialise but really it’s all about the morning tea treats and the chat. We laugh and share and all talk at once, it is such a refresher for the soul to spend a morning with this fabulous group of amazing women. They are my constant inspiration, I am a very lucky lady to be surrounded by such a magnificent group of intelligent, empowered female friends.

What’s for breakfast?

Breakfast during winter is a warming bowl of porridge with my favourite chopped up sugar bananas and strawberries, drizzled with honey. Lucky for me my little man also loves this combination, though he currently takes his mashed, without the honey and sprinkled with cinnamon.

What’s your favourite thing to bake?

My favourite recipe to bake is sweet, I’m a real sweet tooth. My Classic Chocolate Cake recipe is made in one bowl, throwing all the ingredients together at once, quick with no fuss. You can never go wrong and it makes the most delicious cupcakes too. They have appeared numerous times at our mother’s get togethers!

What’s your favourite bedtime story?

Favourite bedtime story is currently Possum Magic by Mem Fox. I can never tire of the beautiful illustrations by Julie Vivas and Sam loves putting the corners of the pages in his mouth.

What is your go to remedy for a tantrum?

The best tantrum remedy is laughter or if that fails throwing one right back at the baby, they just sit there stunned forgetting what they were upset about in the first place!
