One Carrier, Four Ways: Meet the Nuna CUDL clik
Some baby items are made for a very specific window, like the first few months. Other pieces manage to stick around, adapting as your baby grows and life changes around them. And really, that’s what we want from most of our baby gear, right?
The Nuna CUDL clik is designed to do just that. Suitable from birth, it moves through four different carry positions as your baby grows, taking you from those early newborn days when they’re happiest cuddled into your chest to the stage where they want to see absolutely everything going on around them.
It’s comfortable, well thought-out and seriously straightforward to use. Which, when you’re trying to get out of the house with a baby, counts for a lot.
One carrier, four ways to wear it
The way you carry a newborn isn’t necessarily how you’ll want to carry a six-month-old, or a toddler. The CUDL clik has four ergonomic carry positions to accommodate those changing stages: newborn mode, facing in, facing out and back carry. For smaller babies, adjustable leg openings help create a more customised fit, while an integrated infant booster is designed for babies under four months. As they grow, the head support can be folded down or removed.
The carrier is also acknowledged as a “Hip Healthy” product when used as directed in the manual, with its carry positions designed to support ergonomic positioning as your baby grows.
The details you appreciate when you’re actually wearing it
Baby carriers are one of those products where small design details can make a surprisingly big difference. The CUDL clik has four self-guiding magnetic buckles designed to make getting baby securely into place easier. Padded shoulder and waist straps help distribute their weight, while an adjustable yoke keeps the shoulder straps comfortably positioned.
The waistband adjusts from 61 to 145cm too, so it can be readjusted when swapping between parents rather than belonging exclusively to whoever set it up first. There’s also a removable zippered wristlet pouch on the waistband for the little things you want close at hand.
A carrier made with warmer days in mind
Babywearing is the best. Babywearing when it’s 30 degrees outside can be a whole other story. The CUDL clik uses breathable mesh fabrics to encourage airflow, with an attached hood to shade baby from the sun. An integrated breeze cover is tucked away within the carrier and can be pulled up when you need a little extra protection while you’re out.
It makes the CUDL clik particularly well suited to everyday walks, travel and those quick trips where bringing the pram feels like more equipment than you really need.
Yes, the whole thing can go in the wash
This might not be the feature that catches your eye first, but after a few months of dribble, milk and snack-covered fingers, it could become one of your favourites. The entire CUDL clik is machine washable when placed in a laundry bag, so you can give it a proper refresh rather than spot-cleaning your way through parenthood.
It also comes with two GOTS-certified organic cotton dribble bibs, along with harness covers, a transport bag and removable wristlet pouch.
Designed to stick around
Perhaps the nicest thing about the CUDL clik is that you don’t have to know exactly what kind of babywearing parent you’re going to be before your baby arrives.
You can start with them nestled against you as a newborn, switch positions as they become more curious about the world, and eventually move them onto your back when that makes more sense.
Babies change quickly. The things you buy for them should be able to keep up.
