Most first-time parents tend to glaze over just a little bit when mention of their baby shower gift registry pops up.

How on earth are you supposed to know which carrier is best? Which pram will grow with your family, and even which dummies to stock up on. It’s a bit like buying a house. You don’t know anything about laying carpet, or interior styling until you need to. And then it’s a whirlwind lesson like no other.

So, when we conducted a focus group recently with 87 pregnant Aussie women, we just had to ask… ‘what are the products your friends and family have told you to buy?’
