Copper Pearl are renowned for their beautiful and trendy baby basics, swaddles, toddler wear and accessories. So who is Copper Pearl? Meet the co-owners, husband and wife teamTyler and Anne, who run the business and a tribe of six children!

What a large tribe! Can you tell us about family life?

We have been married for 20 years and are the proud parents of six children, ages 17 to 2;Three sons and three daughters who arrived boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl!

What does a typical day look like?

A typical morning begins before the sun comes up helping our children get out the door to school. Tyler drives carpool while Anne gets the elementary two to the bus. We both then go to the gym and return home to begin our days! Tyler often goes in to the office to work and Anne stays home with the baby and manages things around the house. We try to have family dinner together every night, and stay busy helping the children with homework and activities until bedtime!

What is it like being a husband wife work team?

It is so much fun! Tyler is the brains and muscle behind the business! Anne enjoys doing the social stuff like photo shoots and sample lunches. In raising our family, as well as in running this business, we both have our roles to play and together we make a strong team.

Let’s talk Copper Pearl. Tell us about some of the hit products...

The baby bandana bibs have been a hit because THEY WORK! We know from experience how exhausting it can be changing a baby’s entire outfit when they spit up or drool on their neckline while teething. Our bandana bibs save parents’ time and energy because they are so simple to change when soiled! They keep baby’s necks clean and dry—plus look so cute!

How did this inspire the launch of Copper Pearl’s wider collection?

We are all about basics. We know what babies need and what we bought and never really used. When you have a baby you need bibs. You need burp cloths. And you need a really good swaddle. Our swaddles are a favourite for us because they are noticeably softer than any other blanket we’ve ever tried and they stretch to hold an infant just right, thus, helping everyone get some better sleep at night!

Copper Pearl has a great social media community. Can you explain how this community influences Copper Pearl’s business

We have a Facebook VIP group of the Copper Pearl ‘groupies’ where we have more insider type questions, polls, information, and request feedback. We’ll poll different products and get great feedback on different designs, market acceptance, etc. Customers love solids and want more basics. They are also asking for Jumbo adult quilts, mini crib sheets, sleep sacks, and different types of bows.

What are some of the best sellers today?

We have amazing florals! Customers love our florals especially in the spring and summer. Bloom,Grace, and Caroline are top sellers. On the solids,River,Camel, and Midnight are also strong. Customers love the basics and we make our products to try to appeal to the masses.

Copper Pearl are perhaps best known for the high quality, modern and trendy designs. What’s your approach to design?

Listen to customers, ask and engage with customers, then put our incredible design team to work. They follow what’s trending but we also try to be ahead of the trends and come out with really amazing products that we love and customers have requested.

Why do parents love your products

They are functional. They actually serve a useful purpose while looking great and being super soft on babies. Many paediatric nurses recommend Copper Pearl products due to how soft they are with the right hint of stretch and durability.
